Titans
6 images, 2005
The oldest Greek Titanic creation myth
assumed that in the beginning, there was Chaos, from which
arose Gaia - Mother Earth – whose offspring was Uranos.
They brought forth the six male and 6 female Titans, who in
turn coupled and gave birth to the other Goddesses and Gods who
created the world.
It can be assumed that the establishment of
the Olympic Gods following the Titans was related to a
historical change in society, from a matriarchal to a
patriarchal civilisation and history of ideas.
