Zelko Wiener / BLIX
International Computer-communication
Projects
1983 - 1986
The (BLIX) group tried to work on the
“interface between the individual and his electronic
environment”. Computer communication possibilities were
tested in various medial experiments. These trials even
succeeded in crossing the iron curtain for a short time.

MUPID was used for the generation of
“Kunst BTX”. It was the first computer, which could
be compared with the current computers with respect to its
colors and the type of portrayal. It could be rented from the
post office, together with the corresponding modem and hooked
up to the telephone line. Both text and image exchange were
possible in the same way.
Art BTX ran in the Net for half a year and
found a great response with the few users that existed at that
time.
