Documentation
It was the first project we developed in
the frame-work of zeitgenossen.com. The central idea was to
combine web-specific art and media theory. This went along with
the intention to describe our present.
Formally we worked on the synchronicity of
image and sound, the construction of depth perception and the
”menu-free” screen.

INPUT

The project Distant
Heat, exclusively conceived as an
animation of letters and text, visualises three stories in
parallel. The dramaturgy links the individual texts while also
"giving meaning" to the words and sentences, thereby
conveying that they have a sensual life of their own. Letters
as media visuals emanate an emotional force that is
communicated irrespective of their reference to text.
