Documentation

It was the first project we developed in the frame-work of zeitgenossen.com. The central idea was to combine web-specific art and media theory. This went along with the intention to describe our present.

Formally we worked on the synchronicity of image and sound, the construction of depth perception and the ”menu-free” screen.

INPUT

If information is regarded as an independent entity, then this means first and foremost, that information exists naturally as such without any exterior influence. However, if information is seen in connection with understanding and/or meaning, then behind it there is someone who produces that information artificially. This fundamental distinction can be observed even at the level of algorithmic representation and therefor also affects the development level. The essay ”INFORMATION ” (1999) focuses on this notion.
